Manchester United will have to pay £5m to sack manager Louis van Gaal as details of his Old Trafford contract are revealed.

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal would be in line for a £5million pay-out if the club choose to sack him this summer.

The Dutch coach's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain and details of the cost of getting rid of him this summer have now been leaked.

United would continue to pay two-thirds of Van Gaal's salary of around £8m for the final year of his contract if they decide to end his two-year spell in the hot seat.
